Little Miss Miyah | Detroit MI baby photographer

Tuesday, March 29th, 2011

I first met Little Miss Miyah when she was just a teeny baby!  She had the best hair, and still does.  Such a little stinker, too!  Here are my favorites from her session (with her big sis Kennedy)

Macrolicious Mondays | 4 | Brighton MI photographer

Monday, March 28th, 2011

This shot was taken during Stella’s session…I just LOVE little baby details…eyes, lips, toes.

Brighton Orthodontics | Brighton MI commercial photographer

Monday, March 28th, 2011

These aren’t your average business headshots.  Drs. Warren & Crouse were looking for some new photos to showcase their staff and their office.  These were done on location, at their office on Grand River, in Brighton.  Be sure to check out their site:  http://www.brightonortho.com/

Giggly Baby Grant! | Brighton MI baby photographer

Monday, March 28th, 2011

Grant is the youngest son of my friend, Sarah, and he was too much fun to work with!  He was all smiles and giggled the entire session!  I just love babies his age!

Sharing some news… a personal & professional announcement!

Wednesday, March 23rd, 2011

If you’re not a fan of mine on facebook, then you may not know that I’m currently expecting baby #5.  I’m due in late September, so I’m going to be very limited with the number of sessions that I can do in late summer.

So…you know that family session that you’ve been putting off scheduling?  Or getting some great portraits of your children?  Now is the time to reserve your session!

Anyone that books a session four weeks in advance will receive my Early Bird Booking Special, which offers you an additional credit towards your purchase!  To schedule your session, click this link!

And without further ado…here is my little Baby K#5′s first time on my blog:

Ten day old Stella! | Brighton Michigan newborn photographer

Monday, March 21st, 2011

Beautiful baby Stella was a DREAM to work with.  She was the most sweet baby I’ve photographed so far and I only wish that I had more time with her.  I thought of so many things to do after the session was over!

We tried to get some photos with her big sis, DeeDee, but we’ll have to wait for that!

Macrolicious Mondays | 3 | Brighton Michigan photographer

Monday, March 21st, 2011

I just realized I forgot to post a macro shot last Monday, so technically, this should have been posted already…but it’s one of my favorites.

As you get to know me, either as a friend or as your photographer, you’ll come to know that losing my daughters has had an amazing impact on me.  We will forever think of them, and will teach our children about their sisters that shaped how we are as parents.

This is a gift that Nick got for me last Mother’s Day…and it means so much to me.  It includes ALL of my children – our daughters in heaven and our boys on earth.

Inside the locket, it says “Always in our hearts” with the girls’ names and their birthstone.

When I was thinking about what to shoot for my macro shot this week…only ONE thing came to mind…and that was my son, Nicholas.

Everyone always remarks about how dark his eyes are, and I thought, let’s do a macro shot and get a reflection of me in there.  So I did.  You can see me, my camera, and his hand in there.  Pretty neat, huh?

I do have to share that it wasn’t the easiest shot to get!  Every time I got close, he’d tell me ‘cheese!’

Natalie’s Baby Bump | Ann Arbor MI maternity photographer

Sunday, March 6th, 2011

Natalie answered my casting call for models and I couldn’t have been more thrilled!  She is GORGEOUS!  And when I asked how tall she was, she said “Only 5’10…” to which I responded “Only?”  I’m only 5’1″ so I had to grab my step stool for some of the shots!

As a bonus, I got a few shots of her beautiful daughter, Marlowe as well!
