Super Siblings! | Children’s Photographer | On-Location at Spicer’s

Thursday, September 2nd, 2010

These two gorgeous children are the son and daughter of a friend of mine from high school, who was always known for HIS artistic abilities.  Imagine MY nervousness when he agreed to do some graphic design work for me in exchange for a session with his kids (I’ve been bugging him on facebook to have him let me photograph them)

Anyway…we met halfway in-between at Spicer’s Orchard in Hartland.  It was a bright sunny day, and we had a TON of fun.  I didn’t want to leave them!  And don’t they have the yummiest eyes ever?  They look like melted chocolate!

Johnny & Kristen – I hope you like these photos of Katiana & Jonas.

Bella Bambini | Beautiful Children | Howell MI children’s photographer

Sunday, August 29th, 2010

These beautiful kids are my friends’ Sal & Christie’s triplets and son.  They’re 16 months apart…so if I ever think that my life is tough, I think back to what they had to handle when their kids were my boys’ age.  LOL!

Anyway, they came over last weekend to have dinner at our house (as we often trade back and forth) and so I asked the girls and their brother D if they’d be up for some pics.

D’s big birthday is tomorrow – he’ll be eight!  Aren’t they SO adorable?

Eli at Eleven Days Old | Ann Arbor MI newborn photographer

Monday, August 23rd, 2010

You may recognize this gorgeous family from a few months back; Cara is my doula and we had a maternity session in June.  You can see her session here: Cara – Maternity

Eli was one of the sweetest babies I’ve worked with.  He hardly fussed, except when he was getting a bit tired of being in the spotlight.  He has the best eyebrows and the clearest eyes of any newborn I’ve seen.

While I was there, I couldn’t resist snapping a few of his beautiful big sister, Maia.  Aren’t those curls too much?

Vacations & Renovations! | Brighton MI photographer

Friday, August 13th, 2010

I hope everyone has a great Friday the 13th!

I will be out of the office starting today and all calls and emails will be returned on Monday, August 23rd.

If you haven’t noticed, my blog has been showcasing my most recent sessions…and not having any sessions for a while makes me sad.  So…in order to fix that, I thought we’d do a CONTEST!

Guess how many pictures I will take while on vacation!

Here’s how it will work:
Leave a comment at the bottom of the post. You only get one guess so make it count. In your post put the number of pictures you think I will take while on vacation. The person that gets closest to the number wins! Posting for comments will close on Saturday, August 21st at noon EST and the winner will be announced on Monday, August 23rd.

So what does the winner get?  I will announce the winner along with the prize on Monday…but since school will be back in session soon…think big!

One hint just to help you along: Just this morning I took over 30 pictures of my boys while we were eating breakfast.

And…without further ado, here’s something to tide you over while I enjoy a bit of time off with friends and family.  Some of those pics from this morning.

Here’s my beautiful baby (not so much a baby anymore, but still…)

And a close-up of my older son:

When I return, there will be a new look to my in-home studio…I’m very excited to reveal that when I get back.  Please bear with me as it may be under construction for a couple of weeks…but it will be ready for Holiday portraits!

My soon to be 3 year old | Howell MI children’s photographer

Thursday, July 29th, 2010

The other night I had a senior session scheduled and unfortunately, my client had to cancel due to car problems.

I was in the mood to take pictures and thankfully, Nicholas was happy to oblige.  I LOVE this shot I got of him in the backyard.

He’s got the best eyes and eyebrows, doesn’t he?

Frankie & McKenzie’s sneak peek! | Brighton MI children’s photographer

Tuesday, July 20th, 2010

Back before I knew anything about photography, I took pictures of Frankie & McKenzie.   They were BRAND new!  And so was I, to the world of taking pictures for other people.

Fast forward to two years later, and not only have these kiddos grown, but so have my skills.  My friend, Dawn, was nice enough to let me do another shoot with these two and they were SO adorable.  I had SO much fun chasing them around their yard!

Here are some of MY favorites from the session:

Captivating Caitlin! | Brighton MI baby photographer

Sunday, July 11th, 2010

Erin & Nate were referred to me by Kendra (thank you!) and I was so excited to hear that they had a little girl.  Little girls are so much fun to ‘play dress up’ with…you can put pretty bonnets on them, or headbands!

When they arrived with sweet, little Caitlin, the first thing I noticed were her big, beautiful eyes!  These are some of MY favorites from our session because of her eyes.  They’re just captivating!

Can you believe that this gorgeous family hasn’t ever had family photos taken?  Here’s one just for Erin & Nate!

And Nate was up for having some fun with his little girl!

Erin & Nate, enjoy the sneak peek!  Your gallery info will be arriving via email soon!

Time to Celebrate! | Michigan portrait photographer

Saturday, July 10th, 2010

My facebook fan page has 500 people that ‘like’ it!  To celebrate, I’ve put together something special!

Have you been putting off having your family portraits done?  Wait no more!

Happy 234th Birthday, America! | Howell MI photographer

Saturday, July 3rd, 2010

I am participating in a scavenger hunt through the Clickin’ Moms community that I belong to, and I just HAD to share this picture I took.  Nicholas and I went on a field trip last night, just the two of us, and he was SO excited to “take pictures with Mommy”.

My gorgeous ‘niece’ and ‘nephew’ | Ann Arbor MI children’s photographer

Friday, July 2nd, 2010

My best friend and her family were visiting from out-of-state, and I was lucky enough to be able to photograph her gorgeous children.  These photos are special to me because Anna is a shy little princess, and Alex is my special bud.  He’s got his quirks, but I was able to get his GORGEOUS smile to show!

Here are my faves from our studio session:
