Meet the B Family | Ann Arbor MI Children’s & Family Photographer

Friday, April 30th, 2010

Samantha and I met many years ago when we were both Pampered Chef consultants.  Then, we found ourselves expecting at the same time last year – both with boys.  And we have something else in common…we’re both photographers.  I was honored when Samantha was willing to do a swap – she did some pics of my family and I FINALLY got the chance to do her family.

Here’s a few of my favorites.  First up, Carson.

Then big sis Mallory:

Michelle’s Maternity & Jacob turns 3! | Ann Arbor MI maternity & children’s photographer

Tuesday, April 27th, 2010

Michelle is the Fresh Faces 2010 winner in the Maternity category.  Ironically, she’s someone that I ‘know’ but don’t know… someone that is mutual friends with my friends and I bump into her all the time!  I hope I’ll be able to get to know her better…and maybe Jacob & Nicholas can become buddies too!

I had a GREAT time with her and Jacob tonight, and can’t wait to meet her little one.  We made sure to take some of Jacob as he’s turning 3 in just a few weeks!

Mother’s Day (in the US) is May 9th, 2010.  From now until the 9th, I will be offering gift certificates for the favorite woman in your life!

“Oh! Look at the beautiful butterfly!” | Howell MI children’s photographer

Saturday, April 24th, 2010

Today, we ventured up to our alma mater (Go State!) and had planned on just hanging out in the gardens.  Since it was a bit chilly, and my brother and my sister-in-law (Auntie Bonnie) are acclimated to the warm Houston weather, we decided to go inside and explore the greenhouses for a bit.

We were THRILLED to find the Butterfly House, and look what just happened to land on my hand?  Nicholas LOVED it!  It sat there for about half a minute and we were able to admire it’s beauty up-close.

Impressed by my ‘mad skilz’ ?  I snapped this pic with only one hand!  :)

Some of MY family (in studio) | Howell MI family & children’s photographer

Tuesday, April 20th, 2010

I’m putting together a special gift for my parents, who will be married for FIFTY years, tomorrow!  Happy Anniversary, Mom & Dad!  We decided to try to get updated pictures of all of us kids, and our respective families.

So here’s a few of me and my family.  I FINALLY figured out how to get Nicholas to pose for me.  He likes the lights & beeping from the timer.  :)

Taking in nature’s splendor! | Howell MI photographer

Saturday, April 17th, 2010

I’ve realized recently that I’ve been seeing things when I’m out and I’ve NOT had my camera with me…which is NOT something that I like.  So, while running my errands today, I made SURE to grab my camera.  And I’m SO glad I did.

Hello Spring.

My All-American Boy! | Howell MI children’s photographer

Wednesday, April 14th, 2010

I was excited to do some shots of Christopher in the studio today, because I got a new GIANT softbox! So after I got things straightened up, I took him downstairs and thankfully, he was ready for his modeling job today!

For those of you that are wondering…YES! He is ALWAYS this smiley! I love it!

And just for fun, one of Gracie!

Meet Miss Kalei | Ann Arbor MI children’s photographer

Saturday, April 10th, 2010

Here she is…my 2010 Fresh Faces contest winner, Kalei!  When I saw her pic, I was excited as could be – she’s adorable.  Little did I know that Miss Kalei likes to do pageants with her older sister…so she was a big ham during her session!  Good thing I had some leftover balloons from Christopher’s birthday party!  Note to self: have balloons on hand for EVERY toddler session!  Jennifer – I hope you like them!  You can see the rest of your sneak peek here: Kalei’s sneak peek on Flickr

Katie B.’s baby bump session! | Brighton MI maternity photographer

Monday, April 5th, 2010

I had the pleasure of meeting Katie while waiting in line at customer service at Kohl’s.  I noticed she was expecting and her little boy looked to be a bit older than Nicholas…we got to chatting and I gave her my business card.  You know how that goes…you hope they’ll call you…well, she contacted me via email!  We had her session today at 31 weeks and she’s a beautiful momma to be.  Not a stretch mark in sight.

The weather was GORGEOUS today so we were able to do a few shots outdoors, as well as inside!

Katie – I’m looking forward to meeting Baby B. and Star, and seeing James again!  Enjoy your sneak peek and I’ll be in touch with you with your gallery information!

Double the sweetness ~ Little Misses Audrey & Bailey | Brighton MI newborn photographer

Friday, April 2nd, 2010

I met Michele through our local Mothers of Multiples group, LAPOM, and was excited to hear that she was expecting twin girls.  Baby girls are so much fun to play with – you can put cute hats, bows, and headbands on them…most of the time!

Since we had limited time together, we chose NOT to subject Audrey & Bailey to too many wardrobe changes.  Though we did make sure they ‘matched’ big sister Morgan’s pretty yellow dress!
