2006 was a whirlwind year for me and my husband. We had just found out we were expecting, and just a week and a half later, learned it was twins! We were so excited to start our family. Our whirlwind continued when I suffered a pPROM (pre-term Premature Rupture of Membranes) with Baby A, and we lost our twin girls at 21 weeks along in August 2006. Angelina Nicole was our firstborn, born still, and Gabriella Marie lived for almost 6 hours.
The hospital we were at suggested we take photos of ourselves with the girls, and they took photos with their own camera. These snapshots are some of my most treasured items. I keep the originals in a fire safe in our home, and carry the reprints with me where ever I go.
Losing my girls and having subsequent children is what inspired me to start Two Angels Photography, LLC. Named for our daughters, their memory will live on through the services provided to other families that are finding themselves on this unfortunate road.
I’ve been a professional photographer since 2009. I am a former area coordinator with Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep (http://www.nilmdts.org)
